NAPE will participate in an EU project worth 4.8 million euro to support the pace and scale of energy efficiency improvement in EU residential buildings through new technologies and business models.
The four-year RINNO project , funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program, focuses on developing solutions for the construction industry to accelerate the (threefold) pace of deep renovation in energy-inefficient buildings across Europe and thus contribute to the energy saving target set out in The new EU Green Deal.
RINNO will achieve this by combining cutting-edge and innovative technologies, processes and business models:

The solutions developed by RINNO will be tested in four real renovation projects (Pilot Sites) to verify their impact on the entire renovation process. Places demonstration will be located in France, Denmark, Greece and Poland (a total of 3 386 m 2 surface).
About 77% of residential buildings in the EU were built before 1990. 11% of the European population still experiences energy poverty caused by poor building quality and, in particular, by heat insufficiency.
The European Commission estimates that a 3% annual renovation rate is needed to achieve the EU’s energy efficiency and environmental targets in a cost effective manner. With current renovation rates of 0.4-1.2% depending on the country, it can take more than 100 years to renovate all the building stock in the EU. RINNO is a radical approach to reducing costs, barriers and retrofitting time in the event of deep renovation, while increasing energy efficiency, environmental performance and user satisfaction.
